ReDefine Wins Filmfare Award for Best VFX for Munjya
The spirit of Munjya reigns supreme as Filmfare honours our work.
We’re thrilled to share that ReDefine has won the Filmfare Award for Best VFX for our work on Munjya.
Blending folklore with technical artistry, our teams brought the mischievous and terrifying world of Munjya to life, from the creation of the eerie titular spirit to the atmospheric landscapes that shaped the film’s supernatural tone.
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Maddock Films, Munjya is a part of the Maddock horror-comedy universe and follows a young man who returns to his ancestral village, only to uncover a vengeful spirit with an unusual wish.
Our artists across departments collaborated to ensure Munjya’s presence felt both grounded and otherworldly, balancing realism with myth to create a seamless visual experience that captured the story’s heart and humour. Amit Naik (Assistant Head of Production, ReDefine Asia) & Pranay Agarwal (Head of Creative Operations, DNEG India), were there at the event to receive the award.
